I Want THAT!

Clear the table. Don't leave anything unattended. Ann Hagan is grabbing EVERYTHING. Anything we are holding or that may be on the table, she will grab and inevitably put in her mouth. So far she has tried to get drinks (including beer), soup, sandwich, bacon, plates, silverware, etc. We have caught some pictures of our favorite moments so far. We are amazed at just how much she has developed over the past couple of weeks. WOW

Dad's bacon- yummy

Not quite bouncing- but learning and loving the spinning frog. Be sure to go to the bottom of the screen and pause the music so you can hear our videos. Not that we say anything important :)

Also, we forgot to share the video of Ann Hagan eating for the first time. Here it is

Field Trip to Babies R Us

We made the trip to Babies R Us to check out new car seats. It won't be long before we get a conversion seat so Ann Hagan can sit up a little straighter. She seems to be uncomfortable in her carrier lately.

Check out my new UGG boots! Cute, huh...and warm!

I like this one

Just Sittin' Around

We have taken the training wheels off Ann Hagan this week and she is sitting on her own. I guess she figured since we signed her up for swim lessons in January, its time to go ahead and master sitting. We have actually had alot going on over the past couple of weeks. She is grabbing at our cups and trying to put them in her mouth. We have been practicing with the sippy cup. She mostly just plays with it, though. She is down to two really good naps a day and a small cat nap before dinner and a bath. Get this...we had to get her a passport. How funny! We are heading to Costa Rica in April hence the need for swim lessons. The lessons are mostly for survival skills and getting used to water but we figured the timing was perfect before our trip. We are really excited about Thanksgiving. Maybe she will even have more tricks by then. We'll keep you posted.

Santa and His Helper

I realize that Christmas is more than a month away but we are getting super excited. Actually, Wes and I are so cool that we spent our night tormenting the gang by dressing them up in hopes of a photo for our Christmas card. We are not using these particular photos but I thought you would all want to see them. I know, I know, we really should get out more! Believe it or not, there used to be a time when we actually went out. Now, we are old and like to stay in and entertain ourselves. Oh, I forgot. It wasn't all pictures. We also bounced for a while!

Editing

My dad called me this morning. Hesitant that he would hurt my feelings, he let me know that he loved our blog but it was hosting a couple of grammatical errors. They have now been edited. So sorry if I offended any of you. I'll try to do a more thorough job than just spell checking next time I post. Especially now that I know there are people who actually know the difference between lie, lay, and laid. Thanks Dad!

My Best Friend

It looks like Bogie finally warmed up to Ann Hagan, probably because she lets him lick the bowl when she is finished with her cereal. Since it is so cold, Bogie has been lying inside by the fire. Yesterday, Bogie kept bringing his disgusting stuffed animal to Ann Hagan. He would lay it on her chest or down beside her and back away, patiently awaiting her to join in a game of fetch. Needless to say, she didn't. So he lay down beside her and let me rub his belly. She tried to grab his ear. Hopefully, that is not the end of their friendship. He is very sensitive about his ears.

Eat, Sleep, and Be Merry

Ann Hagan has officially been eating rice cereal twice a day for one week. The child LOVES it. She tries to hold the spoon and wants to keep her fingers in the bowl. I don't understand why but she doesn't like having her breakfast all over her face :). As long as we keep her cheeks clean there are no tears at this table. Now fat and happy, she slept 11 hours four of the nights. The other nights she woke up at 4:30am. Once we go put her pacifier in and pat her head, she will go back to sleep until about 6:30 or 7:00. We will take that over every hour or two any day. Wow, Wes and I are actually starting to feel human again. Month 4 has been our most exciting so far but with the least amount of sleep. Each day she can do something new. It is the most unbelievable experience to watch her actually learn things. She is trying really hard to sit up...we'll keep you posted.

Let's Eat

We have gone back and forth and finally decided to try rice cereal. I wanted to wait until Ann Hagan was 6 months but due to the lack of sleep from her waking up hungry for the past couple of weeks, we thought we would give it a shot. And what do you know...She actually likes it. It took a couple of trys figuring out which seat to sit in and which spoon to use. We will see how it works! Wish us luck

Are you sure about this?

It's hard to see the spoon once it is in my mouth...but I'll try!

Gimme Gimme Gimme

Maybe it would be easier to spill the cereal all over her bib and let her feed herself. It was so good she just couldn't help herself.

Did you want me to lick that too?

Hotty Toddy

So, we went out of town again to see the Rebels play. Luckily, Ann Hagan is an excellent traveler. I wish I could say the same about her sleep habits right now. We are going to be around the house until the holidays so maybe we can play catch up and re-establish our routine without going stir crazy.

It was another great weekend in Oxford. We rented a house with our friends, Bert and Candler, from Dallas. My mom kept Ann Hagan so we could go out for a little while and remember what it feels like to be adults. Since it was Halloween, we had the best time seeing all the students and their scantily clad or inappropriately funny costumes. We were surprisingly up and at 'em and in the grove at 8:45am for Bloody Mary's and sausage balls! The Rebs won and several of us stayed in the grove to enjoy the great weather and let the children play. Below are some more pictures of Ann Hagan and her boyfriend. We are going to have a talk with Danny because his son keeps trying to pull up our daughter's dress and play with her belly button. Glad they aren't 16!

City Grocery

We stayed overnight Sunday in Memphis so Wes could see some clients. We stopped by to meet our new cousin Sam.

Then, we had dinner with our friend's, Richard and Tanya, and finally met their 3 month old son, Zach

and we practiced our balancing/ sitting up in the hotel while Wes got ready for his meeting
