Happy Halloween

Pajama Day and Trick or Treating at School!

We had a little identity crisis for Halloween. When in doubt a black tutu always works. Annie was originally going to be a witch but I couldn't find the striped tights I wanted her to wear. So we decided upon a black cat. A runny nose and allergies don't go too well with eyeliner painted wiskers and nose! Finally, since it was fire safety week at school recently, we tried the fire fighter hat on for fun...no good!

A little boy dressed as Elmo came Trick or Treating. Everyday, even now, Annie goes to the window, looks out and asks where Elmo is!

Annie's 1st Beach Vacation

Annie, Wes, and I recently went on our first, family of three, vacation. We went to Kiawah Island in South Carolina. It is an awesome place to do absolutely whatever you wanted to do. We road bikes, went to the beach, and relaxed by the pool. Wes played golf at a beautiful course on the ocean. I spent my first Mother's Day getting a massage and then spending time with my two favorite people. This was the kind of vacation we hope to have summer after summer.

Annie's Baptism

I know it was about a month ago that Annie was baptised. It has been a crazy spring but I finally have some pictures to share. We absolutely had the most perfect day. Besides all the rain, almost every one of our friends and family members was there to witness. Annie looked like a porcelain doll and pretty much acted like one, too. We had tried to put her bonnet on before we put on her dress to make sure it fit. She would have none of it. Once fully dressed, however, she wore it perfectly. She knew you weren't supposed to wear a bonnet with your pajamas :). Silly us. We have not taken her to the worship service since she was an infant. I was a little nervous to see how she would do. Girl's got rhythm. She LOVED the music. She would stand up in my lap and lean over the next pew to get a closer look. She bounced up and down to the beat. Of course she pushed Amanda's hand out of the way when they were trying to sprinkle the water on her. She knew it would mess up her hair. I don't blame her. What made it even more special is that our friends Travis and Jenny sang the most perfect song. It wasn't planned for us but it seemed like it was which is all I care about.

Funny Bunny's

It seems that Annie might be unsure of the Easter Bunny. We had her picture made with live bunnies and the Easter Bunny. She seemed leery of both. The pics are still so stinking adorable I can't stand it.

*The blue dress in the top pictures is the one I made in my recent sewing class. I must say, I think it turned out precious.

On the go...and not

It is obviously spring in the South. One day we will be strolling outside in 80 degrees and the next day there are snow flurries. We have been trying to make the most of it. Annie has been pretty healthy all winter with the exception of a couple of sniffles. This week, however, she has pink eye in both eyes. Wes seems to have it now plus some sort of bug. Needless to say this week we will be indoors and I will be playing nursse. See what we have been doing to keep busy:

Lots of eating. Annie LOVES vegetables- any kind. She has gained around 5.5lbs since Christmas. At her 9 month check up on March 26, she weighed 17 lbs 11 oz. We went yesterday regarding her pink eye...she weighed 18 lbs 10 oz. At least its vegetables she loves

Luckily, Bogie is not picky.

"Sure wish the sun would come out so I can go out there"

Annie loves to crawl THROUGH the furniture. No obstacles have come in her way.

No comment on this photo :) They are TOO much!

New York

In March, my sister, Holley, and I went to New York to visit our brother, Pep. For me, it was bitter sweet. It was the first time I have left Annie that long but I was excited to see the Big Apple. We had a great time and made the most of our time. Annie did great and got to meet EVERYONE in Meridian. While we were there, we went to see the play Shrek. At first, I was unsure that this was the Broadway play I really wanted to see. Let me tell you, it was hysterical. Also, the perfect play to bring back a souvenir for Annie. Check out our documentation of our travels.
